This is just too perfect!

This is a picture my mother just found from when I was about twelve years old! She thought it was so funny because I have a makeup kit in my hand (probably from the drug store lol).. I guess I've always had a passion for makeup <3 I need to find a frame for this picture, I love it!

bright weather, bright nails, while dreamin' of a bright future...

So, I am supposed to be studying for a midterm, but I can't help but stare at my beautiful nailpolish! I am wearing NARS Orgasm polish. It is so beautiful and I can't wait to see how it looks when I actually have a tan this summer. Just waiting for school to be over so I can concentrate on my (hopefully) successful future as a makeup artist!

makeup organization on a low-budget/small space

So, as I have said, I am definitely a beginner at this stuff. But, to my surprise, my makeup collection is slowly but surely growing out of control. I'm only 19 and live with my parents, therefore I don't have too much space for all my makeup. I don't have a vanity, nor do I have room for one, so I got a jewelery armoir for my makeup instead and i put a  Conair lighted mirror to go on top! Now I have a great little place to store my most-used personal products, and I can stand there and do my makeup as well! I got the armoir from The Christmas Tree Shop for less than $200, but I've also seen plenty of similar ones in JC Penny that have larger drawers and a built-in mirror. I bought the Conair lighted makeup mirror from Bed Bath and Beyond for $32.99. Then I put a small straw basket on top to store a few palettes and Sephora catalogs. Gotta say, I love my little space! NYX Diamond Sparkle Lipstick

As always, NYX Cosmetics really impresses me. I tried their Diamond Sparkle Lipstick the other day, and I am completely in love! I bought two shades- Sparkling Orchid and Sparkling Dusty Rose. They are both so pretty! The lipstick goes on so smooth! It feels more like a lip balm rather than a lipstick. It leaves my lips feeling soothed, yet looking glamorous =] I am definitely going to buy more of these colors as well as try other types of NYX lipsticks. The lipsticks are $5 each and you can find them online, or at an Essentials store ( if you have one of those where you live). Peace out my pretty people <3

MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist &Fix

I am so impressed with this product. Not only does it set your makeup all day long, it also fixes any of the cakeyness that your foundation and powder might cause. I have extremely dry skin, so I usually end up with dry spots around my nose and in between my eyebrows. With two sprays, those dry spots were completely eliminated. You can find this at Sephora and the price range is between $8 and $27. The big bottle is a little pricey, but I definitely think it's well worth it! Peace out my pretty people <3

Nars Loose Powder

My birthday just passed, so I was extremely excited to receive my high anticipated Sephora gift cards. I used some of them the other day and one of the producst I picked up was NARS Loose Powder. I am very pleased with this product. The consistency is great, it has good coverage over my foundation, and I think it should be good on all skin types. I have combination skin, and this powder managed to soak up the oil in some spots, but did not dry out the spots on my face that are more dry. I prefer using the powder puff applicator it comes with, but if you prefer a light application, using a brush would probably be best. It was $34, but it is a pretty large package, so it should last quite a while. It is well worth the money. So, go out and get yourself this powder, you won't be dissapointed!
